End of the School Year

Another school year is coming to an end… finally. In North Haven, it ends on June 10th. This is much earlier than most other years which personally, I am very excited about. This is the best time of the year because in just a few more weeks, we will be let out and we can finally enjoy our summer! Make sure to enjoy your summer to the fullest but make sure you are prepared for next school year. 

Summer Work

Some students, especially high schoolers, will have work to do over the summer. I know no one wants to do this work but my advice is to just get it over with earlier on and not wait until the last few days of August to do it. Procrastinating is just gonna lead to having to grind it out in the last couple days and maybe even not getting enough sleep in the few nights before the school year starts. The next school year is planned to start on August 25th, so make sure you are starting your summer work in time and getting it finished.

Library Summer Reading

The North Haven Memorial Library has summer reading programs for different ages that will be starting in May and June. If you are not too busy with sports or other work, consider participating in them.

To conclude, make sure to enjoy your summer while preparing yourself for the next school year. Don’t put off your work until the end of break, and consider participating in the summer reading here at the library!
