Back to School
Now that it is August, the 2025-2026 school year is looking a lot closer. In North Haven, the first day back is August 25, which in my opinion is way too early. I personally feel like school should not be allowed to start until at least September. But unfortunately I do not have the authority to make that decision so we just have to go with it.
If you have summer work that you haven't started yet (like me), the sign that it is time to start getting things done is when you realize it’s August. There is still plenty of time to enjoy the rest of summer, of course, but it is time to start adding some of that work into your daily routine.
Some advice for this upcoming school year is to set goals and stay positive. Setting goals can include laying down targets that you wish to reach for each class. And it is important to remain positive throughout the year and to not be offset by one bad performance on a test or quiz.
Whatever grade you are going into, I wish you all the luck and hope you enjoy this upcoming school year and make more great memories!
